Founder's Note
Ten years. TEN YEARS! Some days, it feels like we’ve been at this for a hundred and I’m the grumpy old guy shaking his fist at the sky, ranting about “kids these days.” Other days, it feels like we’re novices wondering how we got here. This decade has been everything — exhilarating, maddening, joyous. We’ve served you plates we’re insanely proud of, and cocktails that are still the toast of our after parties. But let’s be real: it also hasn’t been all smooth sailing. Nope. It’s been a glorious mess. For every "OMG-this-is-amazing" moment, there were about ten "What the hell were we thinking?!" ones. Here’s to ten years of flavour, failure and fabulous memories—and to the laughter that made it all worth it.

From food that flopped to ideas that fizzled, from regulars who rallied to guests who ended up on our “never again” list — we’ve cherished every hit and every miss, whether it appeared as a gentle nudge or a swift kick in the pants. When we started this journey, it wasn’t just about opening a restaurant — it was about sparking a conversation. That conversation began with spaces that didn’t work, dreams deferred, and even landlords with colorful criminal records. All of it led to the creation of something that’s now part of this city’s soul. As we look back, we invite you to laugh, cringe, and celebrate with us; the stories that shaped The Bombay Canteen. Here’s to the last 10 years—and the next ones we’ll share together. Cheers
