Donate towards a healthier soil
The key to great produce is great soil and the type of compost used is integral in defining everything in that cycle. The compost is made with a handful of natural resources. Animal manure, green material like fresh grass, leaves and shoots of legume plants, dry materials like dry hay and dry leaves, rock phosphate and agriculture lime to maintain mineral nutrients in the compost.
All these components are layered to form a heap of compost. The heap is turned after the first 30 days which allows aeration and uniform breakdown of the material and stirs microbial activity in the soil. It takes about 4 months to prepare one batch of compost.
By donating towards compost, you are contributing towards the most basic step of soil regeneration and healthy soil.
